MANUFACTURING CODE OF CONDUCT

At Aquaglide, we are committed to fair and ethical treatment of those working on Aquaglide products and their constituent materials and components. Our Code of Conduct aims to define guidelines for manufacturers and their employees.

TRANSPARENCY Manufacturers must utilize honest and open communication with Aquaglide about manufacturer’s business practices. Upon request, records and documentation on subjects such as employee records must be provided. 

NON-DISCRIMINATION Employees will be considered for positions on the basis of their qualifications and abilities. Manufacturers will not discriminate salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement on the basis of race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group, or ethnic origin. 

HARASSMENT OR ABUSE Manufacturers will not subject employees to corporal punishment, threats of violence, or any other form of physical or psychological abuse, particularly as a disciplinary tactic. 

RECRUITMENT AND HIRING Aquaglide contract Manufacturers will not use forced or involuntary labor, including indentured, bonded, or any other form of compulsory labor such as imprisonment. Manufacturers will not hire persons younger than 16 (or higher, if the local school compulsory age is older than 16).  

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING Manufacturers will respect the legal rights of employees to association and collective bargaining without penalty or interference. Where this right is restricted under law, manufacturers must allow employees to air employment related grievances without penalty. 

HOURS OF WORK Manufacturers will not require employees to work exceeding 60 hours per week, except under extraordinary, unforeseen circumstances, and will comply with all working hours regulations and laws. Manufacturers will compensate employees appropriately for overtime work according to local laws. Employees will be entitled to, at minimum, one day off from work for every seven-day work period. 

COMPENSATION Manufacturers will, at a minimum, meet all applicable wage and benefit laws and regulations. This includes wages, overtime, maximum hours, compensation, and benefits. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY Manufacturers will provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace that complies with all applicable laws and regulations. At a minimum, this includes access to potable water and sanitary facilities, fire safety, and adequate lighting and ventilation. These standards will apply to any provided residential housing facilities. 

ENVIRONMENT Manufacturers will comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
