Equipment Checklist Before beginning your project, make sure you have all the right equipment and products. 1. Use the Equipment List below to ensure you have all the right tools. 2. Identify the proper products needed for your specific project by using the Product Checklist along with the Diamond Disc Selection Guides. Product Checklist Whether you’re processing New Polish Marble Pool Finish or repairing a Rough Over-Exposed Quartz Finish, there are 2 steps for which you will need products: Step 1 Surface Preparation Step 2 Final Finish. Selection of which Diamond Disc type and grit to use is determined by reading Surface Processing, Final Finish and Diamond Disc Selection Guides. This checklist will help you determine what product you will need to order. Surface Preparation New Polish Marble Pool Finish Step 1 surface preparation after the proper acid (a good acid wash before insures a nice polish finish without a cloudy look) wash start with Aqua Hone Diamond Disc (HD7030, HD7050, HD7070). This removes any rough edges while preparing the surface for step 2 finial finish. Step 2 Change aqua disc to Aqua Hone Diamond Disc (HD7120 or HD7220) Rough Pool Surfaces The Diamond Disc product for step 1 surface preparation, are either Cut Diamond (CD7030-70). Carefully select the proper diamond disc type and grit for your application from our Diamond Disc Selection Guides, using the coarse grit for real rough finish to medium grit for semi-rough finish. This removes any rough edges while preparing the surface for step 2 final finish. Click on to see Diamond Disc Selection Guides for proper diamond type and grit. Final Finish The Final Finish Process starts with changing to the correct Diamond Disc, using Hone Diamond or Dual Diamond. Click on to see Diamond Disc Selection Guides for proper diamond type. Start with recommended disc doing small areas on the wall. As you process, check the surface with your hand as you go making sure not to leave any non polished surface behind. Continue using this technique to complete the entire swimming pool. By starting with the walls first and proceeding to the floors allows most residue to drain to the bottom of pool. After the pool is complete and all surface are finished use the garden hose to wash down any existing residue. Use a sump pump to remove and discharge all wash down solution.
